FEED Bags for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

feed bags for trick or treat for unicefFashion Week has been hectic but even in the chic confines of the Lincoln Center tents there’s been something for the kiddos.  UNICEF presented “Children Are Always In Fashion” and set up a booth to promote the Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF program.  For 61 years, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF has empowered children to help their peers in other countries.  By providing a box to children who trick-or-treat, kids can collect spare change and donate it to UNICEF.

The iconic orange box, which has had several iterations (check out the gallery to see the timeline) has been updated for the tech savvy.  Now, the box includes a barcode – potential donors can scan the barcode with their web-enabled smartphones to donate to the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.  You can pre-order boxes at trickortreatforunicef.org or by phone at 1-800-FOR-KIDS, or you can text “TOT” to UNICEF (864233) from any mobile device to make a $10 donation.

In addition to the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box, you can purchase a FEED Trick-or-Treat bag to benefit UNICEF.  The purchase of one bag provides a full year of nutrients to one child.  The FEED Trick-or-Treat bag was created by FEED Projects, a company with the simple mission to create good products that help FEED the world.  Bags are available through October 31, 2011 at www.hsn.com/FEEDbag.
