Advice For Young Girls

advice for young girls

Now that I have a daughter, I look back at my life and think of the life lessons that I learned and that I want to impart to her.  I know that you have to go through things to really learn about them but when you have a child you want to protect them from getting hurt.  I came across this illustrated Advice for Young Girls on Gala Darling and I thought it was a great list that I would want to let my daughter and other young girls know about.  Take a look and pass it on to the young ladies in your life…

This is so on point… I want to print it and frame it!

My little Miss is so all over the Disney Princesses right now that I can no longer fight it. I’m just happy she rounds it out with Spongebob and the “Cars” movie.

I need to give this to my daughter when she’s in the 7th grade, as a matter of fact I keep thinking about how to prepare her now for when she enters Middle School and how bad age 12 sucks! Also, I’m still struggling how to develop her good eating skills. It’s hard when Mommy still loves to pig out on Dorritos and cookies.

I am praying that her first kiss and first relationship will come at a later age. I would love for her to be innocent as long as possible but I know I don’t live in a fairytale, which is great because that means my daughter will slip into some kind of coma and we’ll have to wait for some man in a cape on a horse to wake her with a kiss and she’ll be married off at the age of 15 or 16!

    This is a great post!

      Hi Alexis,
Thanks so much. They grow up so quickly it’s only natural to want to slow the process. I’m bracing myself!
