What first looked like a trend in clothing companies spinning off children’s lines is looking more to be a M.O. for brands. The latest to join the kid’s club is Mackage, an outerwear and clothing company based in Canada. Not surprisingly, the expansion into childrenswear came after one of the designers had her second child and was having a hard time finding good coats for her three-year old son.
The line will include outerwear for boys and girls sized 2 – 12 and features peacoats and double-breasted coats for boys, wool coats for girls and puffer jackets for boys and girls with retail pricing from $395 to $450. You can find Mini Mackage at Barney’s New York, Bloomingdale’s and select boutiques.
