Cartoon characters and pink galore – that’s usually what you’ll find when it comes to girls’ bedding. Dutch company Snurk has taken trompe l’oeil to a new level with its realistic photographs printed on bedsheets. Snurk has bedding for with a Princess gown printed on a duvet cover along with a matching tiara on a pillowcase, so that when you’re little princess (or prince) decides to dose off to sleep they will be properly outfitted. Interested in going to the moon and being the next Dr. Sally Ride? Well, then there’s the Astronaut bedding with a space suit printed on it. Finally, for your little monkeys that are always jumping on the bed there’s the trampoline print. No matter what your kids are into, there will be something they like. You can purchase the bedding on Snurk.com.

Hello Kitty x Blik is the newest self-adhesive wall coverings collection from Blik, the innovative maker of surface graphics. These Hello Kitty wall coverings are original, chic & easy to apply. Some of the wall graphics are decorative, while others have chalk board or dry erase surfaces.
The Hello Kitty x Blik wall graphics are the cutest I have ever seen. My only question is: Where were these decals three years ago when I was decorating the Tiny Dancers’ nursery??
The collection will be available online Thursday, March 21st on WhatIsBlik.com.

When I was pregnant with the Tiny Dancer, I wanted to have everything personalized with her name on it but as you probably know, personalization and monograms can get expensive. So when I learned about Baby Be Hip, I was excited to get some things for the Tiny Dancer, and knew that I had a great source for baby gifts.
Baby Be Hip is luxurious online boutique for personalized baby gifts. From embroidered bibs, blankies, burp cloths, onsies, and even prepackaged gift sets- Baby Be Hip has every mom-to-be covered. You can buy items individually or in sets. If you purchase a set, often times the items come in a personalized bucket or tote. The gift selector option makes shopping for an expecting loved one fast and easy. The best feature however, is the price. You can get baby items personalized without breaking the bank.
Baby Be Hip sent me a personalized bucket to test out with the Tiny Dancer and she loved it. She loves pink and loves ladybugs so the bucket was perfect for her. She’s also very active and likes to put things in it – and take things out (I think as a result of her just starting Montessori school). The bucket is adorable enough to keep out and display and makes for a great storage option for toys and books. The fun polka dot bows make a cute finishing touch.
I know that from now on, whenever I want to buy a personalized baby gift I’m going to go directly to BabyBeHip.com.
Some of you may remember that the Tiny Dancer had a Minnie Mouse-themed first birthday party. This year, I wanted to choose a theme that the Tiny Dancer would like – it turns out she’s a huge Minne Mouse fan! So, for a second year, we had a red/white Minnie Mouse theme. It worked out in some ways because I had things already lined up like the table runners and table cloths.
Last year I made Minnie Mouse birthday invitations and special ordered a cake from a bakery complete with fondant bows and ears. This year, I skipped the invitations since it was just the grandparents and one uncle (the rest of the family is in NY and we’re having a NY party in a few weeks!) and I put my crafty efforts in the kitchen.
Each day this week I’ll let you know how I made each treat – for now just feast your eyes on the Minnie Mouse feast!

First there was her line of maternity clothing and now Heidi Klum is launching a baby collection called Truly Scrumptious set to launch in September at Babies R Us and BabiesRUs.com. The line will include everything from clothing to strollers, Klum stated:
I made beds, curtains, blankets, washcloths, bath toys, wall decals, lamps, rugs, hampers, stuffed animals, security blankets and night lights. If you think about the nursery, I’m doing everything…I tackle everything from shoes, socks, underwear and pajamas to dresses, jeans, leggings and sweaters.
In addition, she also designed baby gear like strollers, high chairs and car seats. Basically, anything your kid would ever need from birth through childhood. Though Klum didn’t actually deal with the actual designs and manufactured, she came up with the original ideas and chose colors, patterns and imagery.
Klum is a mother of four so she definitely has the background knowledge to make products that make sense. For example, she created a stroller that you can fold with one hand (since you’re probably holding your baby with the other!) Though I’m past needing many of the items in the collection, I’m looking forward to checking it out and I bet these would make great items for your registry.

I’m a huge fan of chalkboard paint and whiteboard paint so when I saw Wallies I was instantly hooked. Wallies are peel and stick wall decals and they have a new baby collection that features interactive and educational decals. My favorite was the peel and stick chalkboard which comes in different colors and as plain sheets or in fun shapes. The Wallies are also available with dry erase sheets. I also loved the growth charts as a cute way to track your child’s growth. The Wallies decals are re-usable and re-positionable which is another great feature. You can purchase Wallies decals on the Wallies Website.

Lucky Fish is a hip brand for the kiddos based in Brooklyn, NY. All of the pieces in the collection are hand-printed in small batches. Stores that carry the brand can make custom orders choosing graphics, ink colors, shirt colors and styles so if you buy your Lucky Fish shirt in a store it’s likely that no other store will have the same design. All of the graphics are the work of artist and designer Jann Cheifitz. Lucky Fish also produces cute totes, fun necklaces and quirky pillows which you can purchase on SoLuckyFish.com.

While at the Children’s Club trade show I not only found great fashion, but other great children’s products. Estelle Billot relaunched her eponymous line of handmade goods last year. Her line of photo albums, French lavender sachets, note cards and baby gifts are inspired by her French heritage, the colors of Matisse and the beauty of the South of France. Estelle Billot creates and manufactures in New York. The pieces in the collection are lovely and make whimsical gifts for mothers, babies or mothers-to-be. You can purchase her products on the Estelle Billot Etsy boutique.
