You know all those handbags you’ve been collecting and drooling over?  Put those purse dreams aside for a little while if you have a little baby because the diaper bag is going to become your new BFF.  Now, I know there are a lot of ugly diaper bags out there.  I am in no way endorsing the cutely baby-patterned diaper bags of the world.  Just because you’re packing diapers doesn’t mean that your bag needs to have the same print as the babies pajamas.

Diaper bags have come a long way baby.  There are a ton of great styles that out now that look like covert diaper bags.  You wouldn’t know they were diaper bags unless you looked inside them.  Depending on what you’re most comfortable with you can find a style to suit your taste.  If you’re more sporty there are messenger bags, and if you’re more girly there are styles that look like shoulder bags.  If you’re on the designer bag tip, you don’t have to sacrifice your bag game.  Everyone from Louis Vuitton to Gucci make diaper bags.

I take my bag game pretty seriously because I’m an accessories girl.  So much so, that I opted not to get a “diaper” bag.  I got a Louis Vuitton Neverfull and bought a separate changing pad.  To keep the contents organized I used small cases for different items.  When I don’t need to carry a diaper bag anymore, I’ll still have a bag that I will love and use.  I did cave in and get a LeSportsac black nylon diaper bag for short trips when I run to the grocery store and it’s worked out really well (I found one for 50% off at Nordstrom Rack and couldn’t resist!).  It doesn’t look like a diaper bag and it comes with a changing pad and lots of pockets.  Stay tuned for a look at what’s in my diaper bag!  What about you?  How did you resolve your diaper bag issue?  Did you use a traditional diaper bag?
