Andy Warhol + Bugaboo “Flowers” and “Cars”

andy warhol bugaboo

Andy Warhol, the father of Pop Art, revolutionized how we see and experience art. His influence is still felt today and through the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts his artwork and legacy live on. The latest project to bring Andy Warhol’s work to life is with Bugaboo in a multi-year creative collaboration. In May 2013, we’ll see the release of two sets of accessories collections: “Flowers” and “Cars”.

Bugaboo always has great collaborations with designers but this is definitely one of my favorites. I only wish they weren’t so pricey so I could get one for my Tiny Dancer. If you could afford one of these babies, enjoy it!

Yo Gabba Gabba! 2013 Live Tour Dates!

yo gabba gabba 2013 tour

A few weeks ago we went to see Yo Gabba Gabba! in the early kick-off of their 2013 tour.  The Tiny Dancer loved the show and she had a great time.  She let the sillies out, had a party in her tummy and danced up a storm.  There’s nothing better than seeing my daughter’s smile and laughter at seeing some of her favorite characters sing her favorite songs.  Going to see a Yo Gabba Gabba! show makes for great memories (and photos) so if your kids are fans – this would be a great surprise for them!

Blogger Project: Hopscotch Kids Non-Toxic Kid Safe Nail Polish

hopscotch kids

Founder Ginny Cardenas was on a mission when she started Hopscotch Kids. She wanted to create polish that was non-toxic and safe for children to play with. Hopscotch is the cleanest nail polish on the market. Sure, many brands tout the ubiquitous “3-free” phrase but Hopscotch Kids is completely free of solvents. While 3-free polishes score about 4-6 on a scale of 10 for toxicity, Hopscotch Kids scores 0 (10 signifies the highest amount of toxins). One of my favorite things about the line is that all of the names of the polishes come from the names of childhood games – so clever! You can learn more and buy online at HopscotchKids.com.

Cube Dog App – Fun for the Family

cube dog app

Thank you to Cube Dog for sponsoring this review. For more information about Cube Dog please visit the Facebook page or download it on iTunes.

Our household is a highly allergic one.  The only pets we could ever hope to have are fish or reptiles.  You can’t pet fish and well, reptiles, are not really my cup of tea.  The problem is that the Tiny Dancer loves dogs.  Everytime she sees one she gets so excited and wants to play with it.  I sometimes get sad that she won’t have the pleasure of a puppy because her father and I would be sniffling and have watery eyes for the rest of our lives.

I recently have been finding apps for pregnant ladies, new moms, babies and toddlers.  A new app that just came out this week is Cube Dog – and it quite literally entertains the whole family.  Basically, you customize your own dog – you choose the color, head shape, snout shape, ears, eyes and body.  Once the cube dog is named then you get to play with it.  You can pet it, play fetch and watch it sleep.  You can even take a picture with your cube dogs.

I created 3 cube dogs:  Ruby, Jade and Violet.  The Tiny Dancer loved watching the process and loved interacting with the dogs on the screen.  The  full 3D graphics with ability to rotate and zoom and high-quality 3D animations make it not only fun for the kids but fun for adults as well.  I could see this app coming in really handy in the middle of a meltdown!  The Tiny Dancer may not be able to have a real puppy, but at least she can let her imagination run wild with her cube dogs.

The Cube Dog App is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch 4 with camera.  Be sure to check out Cube Dog on Facebook to enter a fun contest running June 6-13.

While Cube Dog provided me with the app to review, the opinions I’ve expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Cube Dog, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity.

Mirror Mirror: Ruby-Valentine 2.5.11

It’s super ridiculous cold here in NY… so anywhere Little Ruby-Valentine and I go she has to be bundled up.  Usually with major layering.  I do a onesie, leggings, coat, and socks/shoes, and a cap.  We are both huge hello kitty lovers so this is one of our faves.

Entire outfit is: H&M

Hello Kitty Rattle: Sanrio
